Motloop

Motloop next to the alternatives

Motloop is in private beta and doesn't have every feature of the big suites. This table sticks to things you can check, and we don't quote competitor prices: look them up on each official site.

Where Motloop is still NOT the best option
  • No 3D.
  • No ProRes or WebM export yet (planned, not built).
  • No macOS or Linux version yet.
  • No audio track on the timeline yet (planned).
  • No cloud, accounts or collaboration, and no plugins.
  • It's a private beta: it doesn't have all the features of a mature production suite.

If you need any of that today, Harmony or OpenToonz may serve you better.

A note on Krita: it's a free, open source painting program that also animates. If drawing is your main need, it's a fine option. Motloop focuses on animation from the start.
